GREATER VANCOUVER CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SUPPORTS CLARK COUNTY BUSINESSES WITH FREE MARKETING CLASS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
September 18, 2012

(VANCOUVER, Wash.) - The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce (GVCC) is commited to supporting local business, says GVCC Vice President Darcy Altizer, and part of that commitment means offering high quality marketing education to both members and non-members. On Wednesday, September 26, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the GVCC will present "The Five Winning Marketing Strategies for Clark County Businesses" at the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce in downtown Vancouver. This seminar is free and open to the public; pre-registration is required.

Altizer sees the seminar as the latest addition to the Chamber's community building leadership. "Today's small businesses are hungry for information that will prevent their organization from becoming simply another business failure statistic. They want to know not only what they need to be doing to survive, but what they need to do to thrive in Clark County" says Altizer. "We want to share these strategies with all local businesses in the community as part of our continued effort to build long-term business prosperity in Clark County."

"The Five Winning Marketing Strategies for Clark County Businesses" will outline proven marketing strategies for local business profitability. Developed in collaboration between the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce and the DIY Marketing Center Managing Director Veronika Noize, this seminar is based on research published in a joint report on small business survival by Washington State's Departments of Community, Trade and Economic Development, Employment Security, Labor and Industries, and Revenue, among other agencies.

"The Five Winning Marketing Strategies for Clark County Businesses" takes place on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 1101 Broadway, Suite 100 in Vancouver. The event is free and open to the community. Pre-registration is required. Register online at www.vancouverusa.com or by calling GVCC at 360-694-2588.

Hearing the same things in different ways allows the information to integrate more fully. After listening to you, I am ever more understanding of the dance between listening and sharing.  When you speak, there is the intertwining of your years of experience.  I am gradually learning the various pieces that you put together so skillfully and gracefully.  Then you top it off with your powerful strength of ideation." ~ Caron MacLane, Circle Coach & Consultant, www.CaronCircleCC.com

Now, after your one-hour class--and the Friday deadline--I actually wrote it down and even went through some of those notes while I did it. Wow. I can't believe I did it! Thanks so much, Ronnie. You're terrific!" ~Julie McDonald Zander, Chapters of Life Memory Books, www.chaptersoflife.com
