Why work with the Marketing Coach?

Good question!  Why in the world would anyone need a Marketing Coach?

I admit it:  Marketing isn't rocket science, but it sure can feel like one of the most difficult business disciplines to master, especially when you've got no clients on the horizon and bills to pay.  You may have heard phrases like "reach" or "frequency" or "cost per thousand" and wondered how that applies to your business, but that's not what marketing is about.  Those are phrases that relate to specific marketing tactics and, frankly, you probably don't have to worry about those for a while, if ever.

Let me break it down for you:  The reason it's tough for people to understand how marketing works is that most people think that marketing is about advertising, or some arcane process known only to those with MBAs in marketing.  Don't you believe it!  No matter what anyone tells you, marketing is about relationships.  It's really just that simple.

Because marketing is about relationships, there is no "one-size-fits-all" answer for everyone's marketing challenges, just like there is no "one-size-fits-all" relationship.  Your obstacles are different from anyone else's in the world, even if what you do is being done by millions of others.  That's because your best marketing strategies are built on what you do best, and for whom you want to attract.  And while you may be one OF a million professionals in your industry, with great marketing you can be one IN a million.

So how, exactly, do you get this "great marketing" thing going?  You find someone who can help you access your own internal marketing genius (because it's there, believe me!).  One great way to access your internal marketing genius is to work with a coach who specializes in doing just that.

Why work with a Marketing Coach?  So glad you asked!  The primary advantage to working with a marketing coach to attract more clients is that when the process of accessing, nurturing, and developing your own marketing genius is over, you have more than just more clients, you have the skills you need to keep you in business for years come.  Oh sure, you could (probably) hire somebody to do some marketing for you, but it would cost a lot (marketing expertise does not come cheap, babe), and your OWN marketing expertise will never walk out the door.

The "give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day, but teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime" approach to your marketing adds value to you, as well as to your business.  Wouldn't you rather know how to get your own clients, now and forever, than depend on somebody else to do it for you?  After all, isn't this why you're in business for yourself--because you want to do things your way?

With a marketing coach, YOU do the work, not the coach.  You don't want to have to gamble your business success on anyone other than yourself (do you?).  So it makes sense to work with a coach to acquire and develop the skills (not to mention the clients!) that will contribute to your success, rather than enrich a consultant who will take all that accumulated knowledge and expertise out the door when the project is over.

Bottom line, if you are willing to take the responsibility and make an investment in your own successful future, then working with a marketing coach may be the best strategy for you.

Why THIS marketing coach, in particular?  If I accept you as a client, it is because I believe that we will work well together, and because I believe that you have the capability to reach the goals you set for yourself.  Does that mean that I turn away potential clients?  You bet!  I don't want failures any more than you do, so I am picky about whom I choose as clients, because I guarantee my work.

Here's the deal:  I guarantee that I will be fully present during our meetings, and will focus on you and your marketing plans.  As your coach, I will do everything in my power to recognize, tap into, and help you manifest your unique strengths and capabilities.  I promise to be honest with you, always!  When I think your assumptions are faulty, I will urge you to reevaluate them.  I will help you surface and recognize the valuable expertise you already have but may be taking for granted.  AND I will be there to applaud your successes every step of the way.

While I offer my full attention and support to you in your efforts to achieve your goals, the responsibility of results rests solely with you.  Here's a simple model that will explain what you have to do to successfully market your business (whether or not you work with me):

The Marketing Coach's Amazingly Simple Yet Guaranteed Powerfully Unstoppable Model for Small Business Marketing Success

Vision (a clear definition of your goal) + Intention (your commitment to manifesting your vision) + Focused Action (your strategies and tactics) x Repetition (doing what you have to do again and again) = Results!

Simple?  Yes!  Easy?  Well...maybe not at first.  But that's because new things can be uncomfortable.  You must understand that you will not fill your practice, achieve your goals, or create a self-sustaining marketing engine by reading books, taking seminars and classes, or simply visualizing success.  These things are helpful because they teach you tools and techniques and/or put you in a positive frame of mind.  But even the best tools and techniques (and the most positive attitude) won't work unless they are used.  And used not just once, but over and over and over again.  Used consistently, appropriately and effectively, which you MUST do if you really want to make your business a success.

The bottom line is that your practice will fill up when you decide to do the work to fill it.  And when you've made that decision, then it is time for us to talk about working together.

Are you ready now?  Call or email me, and we'll talk.  I'm waiting to talk to you, willing to talk to you, and wanting to talk to you, but you have to call me (as perceptive as I am, I cannot claim to be psychic) in order to get started on filling your practice.

Or better yet, email me, let me know when we can chat, and I'll call you

See?  With the right tools, and the right attitude, you CAN do it, and I promise to help you do it, if that's what you want.

"I help small businesses attract more clients."
